Flow Coupling

The Flow Coupling, similar to the Blast Joint in that it is supplied at coupling stock OD but usually in shorter lengths, is integral to the life of the well; the thick walled tubing is required to offer the most durability  to accommodate wear from flow turbulence. These are usually installed in the tubing string adjacent to equipment such as Crossovers, Safety Valves or Nipples because the Flow Coupling is more suited to resist the erosional turbulence caused by changes in the tubing ID.

PTP provide a complete range of Flow Couplings for sizes up to to 7.000″, weights (standard or heavy wall), and grades (J55, N80, L80, P110, and special materials upon request) Flow Couplings are supplied at coupling OD and are available in 3, 4, 6 and 8ft lengths as standard. Other lengths are available upon request.


Flow Couplings are available to suit special metallurgy requirements based on well conditions and can be supplied with any feasible API or premium threads.
